Potato Harvest New Brunswick
This shot from the now defunct New Brunswick Potato Break was shot early on a frosty morning during the potato harvest in New Brunswick. Back in 1999 and for decades before New Brunswick schools in Carleton County would shut down so students could help bring in the potato harvest- but those days are long gone, along with the potato barrels the students used to fill and the extra cash they had in their pockets. It was quite a family affair with whole families working the break together. Another piece of Canadiana fades away.

Thanks very much for this great website;this is the stuff that keeps me on track through my day. I have been looking around for your site after I heard about them from a buddy and was pleased when I was able to find it after searching for awhile. Being a avid blogger, I’m hopeful to see others taking initivative and contributing to the community. I just wanted to comment to show my support for your page as it’s very appleaing, and many writers do not get acceptance they deserve. I am sure I’ll be back and will spread the word to my friends.
