Here’s the cover for a social justice mag out of Montreal. The photo is of a young Tayrona Indian boy with his rifle. He stopped by our camp long enough to give us a good look over and then he stood up and disappeared down the mountain path. He didn’t say a word. Didn’t break a smile. Didn’t acknowledge us in any way. But his gaze left a lasting impression on me. After his visit, we packed up and continued on our way to “La Ciudad Perdida.” The Lost City of Colombia.
