Sometimes you get lucky. And with a camera, sometimes all you need is light. I’m working on a series along the Miramichi River right now, people mostly, and the other day I was in Ben’s Diner in Chatham (now part of Miramichi) to photograph Ben’s son Mike who runs the place and has been doing so for a long long time. I was with a friend from the area, Terry Power, and when we walked in I felt like I was on the best dressed Hollywood set I had ever seen- but this was real. Great light, great place and great people helped make this photo.
